ECB’s Praet Sees Euro-Area Credit Improving as Stimulus Kicks In

European Central Bank Executive Board member Peter Praet said the euro-area economy is showing signs of improvement as massive monetary stimulus takes effect.
“The central bank has used powerful instruments to anchor inflation expectations,” Praet, who is also the ECB’s chief economist, said in a speech in Luxembourg on Thursday. “We see some encouraging signs in money and credit now.”
