Namibia, the world’s biggest producer of marine diamonds, resumed negotiations with Anglo American Plc’s De Beers unit as the two sides seek a new sales agreement after months of talks.

“We didn’t finish last year, the Christmas break caught up with us and we are continuing today,” Kennedy Hamutenya, Namibia’s diamond commissioner and lead negotiator, said on Thursday by phone from the capital, Windhoek.
