SanDisk Falls Most Since 2009 on Phone Memory Sales

SanDisk Corp. fell the most since 2009 after the maker of data-storage chips for mobile devices reported preliminary quarterly revenue that trailed its own forecast on weaker-than-expected demand for its products.

Sales for the period ended Dec. 28 were probably $1.73 billion, the Milpitas, California-based company said today in a statement. That compares with a previous forecast of $1.8 billion to $1.85 billion. Analysts had predicted sales of $1.83 billion, on average, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
