Natural Gas Slides to 2-Year Low as Weather Seen Turning Mild

Natural gas futures dropped to a two-year low in New York as forecasts showed a return to milder weather after a polar blast this week.
Temperatures may be above normal in most of the lower 48 states from Jan. 17 through Jan. 21, according to WSI Corp in Andover, Mass. A storage deficit to the five-year average has narrowed to 2.5 percent in the seven days ended Dec. 26 from a record 55 percent at the end of March.
