Former finalist Jo-Wilfried Tsonga withdrew from the Australian Open with an arm injury while former U.S. Open champion Juan Martin Del Potro will return to the men’s tennis tour next week after almost a year off with a wrist ailment.
“It is with a big disappointment that I have to postpone the start of my season,” the 12th-ranked Tsonga said in a post on his Facebook page. The Frenchman lost last year in the round of 16 in Melbourne.
