Germany produced a record amount of electricity from wind in December, according to the IWR renewable-energy research institute.
Wind turbines produced 8.9 terawatt-hours in December, more than any previous month, the group said today by e-mail. IWR said it expects the record to be beaten this year, when several offshore wind farms will start generating.
