Emerging-market stocks rose for the first time in 2015 as Federal Reserve meeting minutes signaled that policy makers are unlikely to raise U.S. interest rates for at least three more months, buoying demand for riskier assets.
Tencent Holdings Ltd. jumped to the highest in almost six weeks in Hong Kong after Mizuho Securities Asia Ltd. advised investors to buy the stock. The Ibovespa rallied 3 percent as Cia. Siderurgica Nacional SA jumped on speculation that Brazilian steelmakers will increase prices. Malaysia’s ringgit fell for a fourth day to a 5 1/2-year low. Russian markets were closed for a holiday.
