Verisk Buys U.K.’s Maplecroft for Geopolitical Risk Analytics

Maplecroft’s database, risk calculator, and mapping technologies are used by multinational financial firms, governments and non-governmental organizations, the Jersey City, New Jersey-based buyer said today in a statement. Verisk paid 20.3 million pounds ($31.7 million) for Bath, U.K.-based Maplecroft and said the deal isn’t expected to change next year’s earnings per share.
