Ukrainian Inflation Accelerates to 21.8% as Hryvnia Plunges

Ukrainian consumer prices rose at the fastest rate since January 2009 as a weaker hryvnia stoked the cost of imported goods.

Inflation quickened to 21.8 percent from a year earlier in November from 19.8 percent in October, the Kiev-based statistics office said today on its website. Prices rose 1.9 percent from the previous month.
