Barnes & Noble to Buy Back Microsoft’s Stake in Nook Unit

Barnes & Noble Inc. will buy back Microsoft Corp.’s stake in its struggling Nook business, which posted a loss that pulled down the U.S. bookstore chain’s second-quarter results.
The separation of the business may be completed by the end of August, New York-based Barnes & Noble said in a statement today.
