Peru is working on protecting its tropical rain forests and better managing agriculture, which account for the bulk of its climate-warming emissions.
Environment Minister Manuel Pulgar-Vidal said the measures will be the cornerstone of Peru’s contribution to a global climate deal that envoys from more than 190 nations will attempt to broker in Paris at the end of next year.
