Natural gas futures declined to a one-month low in New York on forecasts for mild December weather that would limit consumption of the heating fuel.

Temperatures may be mostly normal or higher than average in the lower 48 states from Dec. 7 through Dec. 16, according to Commodity Weather Group LLC in Bethesda, Maryland. The low in New York on Dec. 12 may be 43 degrees Fahrenheit (6 Celsius), 10 higher than usual, AccuWeather Inc. said on its website.
