Ohio State defensive lineman Noah Spence, a former five-star recruit and all-Big Ten selection, was declared permanently ineligible for competition in all intercollegiate sports.
The Ohio State athletic department, which helped Spence appeal to the conference, announced the Big Ten’s decision yesterday in an e-mailed release. While the release did not detail Spence’s infraction, the Columbus Dispatch reported that he failed multiple drug tests for ecstasy.
