William Spoor, Pillsbury CEO Who Drove Buying Spree, Dies at 91

William Spoor, the Pillsbury Co. chief executive officer who led the U.S. foodmaker’s acquisition drive two decades before it was bought by General Mills Inc., has died. He was 91.

He died on Nov. 14 at his home in Salt Lake City, his son, William Lincoln Spoor, confirmed today in a telephone interview. No cause was given.
