Natural Gas Slips on Outlook for Warmer Weather After Cold Shot

Natural gas futures slid for the first time in three days as meteorologists predicted milder weather that would reduce heating demand after an arctic blast this week.
Temperatures may be mostly normal or higher than average in the eastern U.S. from Nov. 23 through Nov. 27, according to Commodity Weather Group LLC in Bethesda, Maryland. A midday update to the government’s Global Forecast System weather model showed warmer-than-usual weather extending into early December across most of the country. Gas jumped the most in nine months yesterday on forecasts for frigid weather in the South and East.
