Europe October Car Sales Rise on Price Cuts, Renault Models

Updated on

European car sales rose 6.2 percent in October, putting the auto market on course for its first annual gain since 2007 as price cuts and new models at Renault SA, BMW and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV propelled demand.

Registrations increased to 1.11 million vehicles last month from 1.05 million a year earlier, the Brussels-based European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association, or ACEA, said today in a statement. Ten-month sales advanced 5.9 percent to 11 million cars.
