As many as 56 people died in Pakistan’s worst traffic accident in a year after a passenger bus and truck collided in the southern province of Sindh, a rescue official said.
“It happened on the bypass that connects Khairpur and Sukkur districts, an area we consider to be most dangerous for commuters,” Anwaar Kazmi, a spokesman for Edhi Foundation, Pakistan’s biggest rescue service, said by phone.
