Graphene Gold Rush
First isolated in a lab 10 years ago, graphene is 200 times stronger than steel and 70 times more conductive than silicon, properties that may revolutionize fields ranging from consumer electronics to health care. Since 2004, about 1,165 patent applications with graphene in the title have been filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
