Michigan Republican Governor Rick Snyder said priorities for the second term he won yesterday are securing an additional $1 billion to fix battered roads and training young people for plentiful skilled trade jobs.

“There are tens of thousands of well-paying jobs that many young people or people looking for their next career sort of lost track of,” Snyder told reporters today in downtown Detroit, where he celebrated his win over Democratic challenger Mark Schauer. “We really want to re-establish those opportunities because that would be a huge boon to our economy, and would help many Michiganders.”
