The difference in popularity between U.S. soccer and European football is nowhere more evident than at YSC Academy near Philadelphia, the only high school dedicated to developing American players.
Ask Matthew Real, a YSC student and a member of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. “My dream is to hopefully make it one day in Europe as a professional soccer player,” says Real. “I don’t care what team it is, but my dream team is Barcelona or Real Madrid.”
