Pakistan held the daily flag-lowering ceremony at its busiest border crossing with India today, just 24 hours after a suicide bombing killed 55 people at the event.
“Such incidents will never break the hearts of the Pakistani people; they will never bog us down,” Lieutenant General Naweed Zaman told reporters today at the Wagah border post after today’s ceremony. “Hats off to the people for their participation in the ceremony.”
