Hanwha Q Cells Builds 800MW Solar Module Factory in Malaysia

Hanwha Q Cells GmbH, the German unit of South Korea’s Hanwha Group, will build an 800-megawatt solar module factory in Malaysia.

Hanwha Q Cells will start building the plant with four production lines at the Cyberjaya site in early 2015, the company said today in an e-mailed statement. It seeks to start test-production in the third quarter and expects to fully utilize the site by early 2016, it said.
