Billionaire Son Invests in India’s Snapdeal, Ola Cabs

SoftBank Corp., the Japanese telecommunications company run by billionaire Masayoshi Son, will invest $627 million in Indian e-retailer Snapdeal.com to tap the growing online market in the country.
SoftBank Internet and Media Inc., a unit, will also lead an investment of $210 million in ANI Technologies Pvt., which runs the Ola Cabs taxi booking service that competes with Uber Technologies Inc., the Tokyo-based company said in two separate statements today.
