Nigeria’s Kwankwaso Seeks Opposition’s Presidential Nomination

Rabiu Kwankwaso, governor of the northern Nigerian state of Kano, announced he’s seeking the nomination as the opposition All Progressives Congress’ presidential candidate.
Kwankwaso, who was defense minister under President Olusegun Obasanjo between 2003 and 2007, said he would work to improve security, fight corruption and diversify Nigeria’s oil-dependent economy.
