Dallas Hospital With First Ebola Patient Sees Revenue Dip

The Dallas hospital that treated the first patient in the U.S. diagnosed with Ebola saw its patient count and revenue drop by more than 20 percent in October compared with the first nine months of the year.

The average daily patient count for Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas declined 21 percent to 337 and emergency room visits fell by more than half, according to a regulatory filing yesterday by its parent company, Texas Health Resources. Revenue fell by 25 percent.
