Japanese shares rose for the first time in six days amid speculation shares fell too far, too fast. Airlines led gains and energy explorers declined after oil prices slumped yesterday

ANA Holdings Inc., Asia’s second-biggest airline, jumped 4.8 percent. SoftBank Corp. added 2.2 percent as the mobile carrier said it will buy Korean TV program distributor DramaFever Corp. Japan Petroleum Exploration Co. declined 1.9 percent.
