Boeing Co.’s new defense chief is putting his stamp on the business by shifting 2,000 jobs away from the company’s commercial hub in Seattle as the U.S. military pares arms spending.
“This is necessary if we are going to differentiate ourselves from competitors and stay ahead of a rapidly changing global defense environment,” Boeing Defense Space and Security Chief Executive Officer Chris Chadwick said yesterday in a statement.
