The Czech Republic may be able to meet NATO’s military spending target of 2 percent of gross domestic product in 2030, Defense Minister Martin Stropnicky said.

The U.S., U.K., Estonia and Greece are the only states within the 28-member North Atlantic Treaty Organization that meet the informal spending target. Member states that don’t meet the goal will aim to reach it within a decade and halt any decline in defense spending, NATO leaders said in a joint statement after an annual summit on Sept. 5.
