Colombian Peso Leads Emerging-Market Drop on Central Bank Wagers

Colombia’s peso led losses among emerging-market currencies as the nation’s central bank decides this week on whether to extend its dollar purchase program.
The peso slid 1.2 percent to 1,995.81 per dollar at the close in Bogota, the biggest drop among 24 developing-nation currencies tracked by Bloomberg. It touched 2,001.39, weaker than 2,000 for the first time since March 20. The peso has dropped 3.6 percent in the past month.
