Euro Area Gets Good News For Once as Industry Exceeds Forecasts

Euro-area industrial production rose more than economists forecast in July, increasing the chance the region could return to growth this quarter.

The 1 percent increase followed a 0.3 percent drop the previous month. Economists had forecast a 0.7 percent gain. A separate report showed payrolls increased 0.2 percent in the second quarter.
