German Ministry Funds 10-Megawatt Onshore Wind Farm in Romania

Germany’s Environment Ministry is spending as much as 3.9 million euros ($5 million) to help finance a wind-power plant in Romania as part of its climate-protection efforts.
Four 2.5-megawatt wind turbines to be built near Tomnatic in northwestern Romania will generate electricity for about 7,000 homes and save about 19,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions, the ministry said today in an e-mailed statement.
