SAP to Invest as Much as $500 Million in Africa to Boost Growth

SAP SE, the biggest maker of business-management software, said it will invest as much as $500 million in Africa through 2020 as the company seeks to increase spending in faster-growing markets.
The focus will be on financial services, energy, telecommunications, utilities and public sector work while the development of technology and local skills should boost jobs, directors including Africa Chief Executive Officer Pfungwa Serima told reporters today in Johannesburg. The Walldorf, Germany-based company has about 700 employees and more than 50 percent market share in Africa.
