Ballmer Rejoices in $2 Billion Thrill as Clippers Change Owners

Steve Ballmer isn’t sweating the price tag or any risk that came with buying the Los Angeles Clippers for $2 billion, by about four times the most money ever spent to buy a National Basketball Association franchise.
“It’s the price I paid, and I’m thrilled,” Ballmer, a former Microsoft Corp. chief executive officer said, laughing, hours after he officially bought the team. “I have a history of looking at tech companies, and I’d say, basketball teams are lower risk.”
