Won Advances on South Korea Trade Data Amid Intervention Concern

South Korea’s won advanced for a fourth day to close 0.1 percent off a six-year high amid concern policy makers will act to slow its gains.
The nation’s trade surplus was $5.3 billion in June, similar to May’s excess, official data today showed, as export growth rebounded 2.5 percent from a drop of 0.9 percent. The June Purchasing Managers’ Index for manufacturing in China, South Korea’s top export market, rose to the highest this year.
