GlaxoSmithKline Plc, under a bribery investigation in China, said its local unit last year hired ChinaWhys, the private investigation firm whose founder was arrested in August.
The firm was hired after a sex tape involving Glaxo’s then-China chief Mark Reilly was sent to senior staff at the London-based company, The Sunday Times reported yesterday. Reilly was authorized to hire ChinaWhys’ founder Peter Humphrey to look into who sent it, according to the newspaper.
