Switzerland got three goals from Xherdan Shaqiri to beat Honduras and edge Ecuador to a World Cup round-of-16 matchup against Argentina. France also advanced to the knockout phase, where it will play Nigeria.
Switzerland beat Honduras 3-0 yesterday to finish runner-up in Group E behind France, which drew 0-0 with Ecuador. France ended with seven points, one more than the Swiss, with Ecuador two further back and Honduras on none.
