Deja Vu for Money-Market Traders on Fed Rate-Rise Probability

It’s deja vu for money-market traders when it comes to expectations for when the Federal Reserve will begin raising interest rates next year.

Derivatives contracts show traders see the Fed’s first rate increase since 2006 coming in about a year. That’s in line with wagers made just after Fed Chair Janet Yellen said in March the move may come six months after bond-buying ends. Traders subsequently bet the increase would take place later in 2015.
