Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos has lost his poll lead in the Andean nation’s election race as support surges for anti-peace talks candidate Oscar Ivan Zuluaga.

A Gallup poll released yesterday shows Zuluaga would defeat Santos in a second round vote, while other polls published this week by Datexco and Polimetrica give results that are within the margin of error. Support for Zuluaga in the first round has more than doubled since February, according to Gallup, while backing for Santos has ebbed.
