Jean-Luc Dehaene, Who Led Belgium Into Euro Region, Dies at 73

Jean-Luc Dehaene, a two-term Belgian prime minister who led his country into the euro common currency, has died. He was 73.

He died yesterday after a fall while vacationing in France, his CD&V party said on its website. In March, he had surgery for pancreatic cancer.
