Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni said he won’t repeal the anti-gay law he signed last month despite aid cuts and criticism from the U.S. and Europe.

It is unacceptable for outsiders to impose their values on the Ugandan society, Museveni said to wide applause at an anti-homosexuality rally attended by religious and cultural leaders, in the capital, Kampala. “I don’t like orders from anybody from outside Uganda.”
