Allianz SE pleaded for a meeting with Norway’s prime minister after cuts in gas pipeline tariffs led to “significant” losses and writedowns on its 6.1 billion kroner ($1 billion) investment.
Europe’s biggest insurer said in a letter to Prime Minister Erna Solberg that the tariff reductions have damaged trust in Norway, potentially harmed investment in infrastructure in general and hurt German and Norwegian citizens.
