Calgon Carbon Corp., a provider of activated carbon and ultraviolet technologies that clean water and air, reported fourth-quarter profit rose 21 percent.
Sales of $133.1 million were 6.1 percent lower from the year-earlier period, mainly due to weaker revenue for granular activated carbon for drinking water in Asia and a stronger U.S. dollar, the Pittsburgh-based company said today in a statement.
