Kerry Bids to Defuse Maritime-North Korea Tensions in Asia Trip

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Seoul at the start of a three-nation Asian trip where he will pressure China to restrain its maritime claims and do more to rein in North Korea’s nuclear ambitions.
He travels to the region at a time when tensions are rising between Japan and China over a territorial dispute and North Korea continues to defy international calls to halt its nuclear weapons development. Kerry follows Seoul with stops in China and Indonesia.
