Duncan Says Preschool Education Is ‘Ultimate Bipartisan Issue’

Since President Barack Obama first called for expanded pre-kindergarten in last year’s State of the Union address, the issue is gaining momentum from both sides of political aisle, Education Secretary Arne Duncan said.
“It has become the ultimate bipartisan issue,” Duncan said in an interview for Bloomberg Radio’s “Bloomberg EDU with Jane Williams.” “We actually have more Republican governors than Democratic governors investing.”
