FIFA Demands Report From Qatar on World Cup Construction Deaths

Soccer’s governing body demanded information on working conditions for 2022 World Cup projects in Qatar following the reported deaths of 185 Nepalese construction workers last year.
FIFA asked the Qatar committee overseeing the building of facilities for the tournament for a report by Feb. 12 so FIFA executive Theo Zwanziger can prepare for testimony before the European Parliament the following day, the soccer body said yesterday in an e-mailed statement.
