Brazil’s state-run lender Caixa Economica Federal may get 150 million euros ($203 million) from the German development bank KfW Group for a credit line that will help companies become more energy efficient.

The funds will help mid-sized and large companies install energy-recovery systems, solar panels and other equipment, a press official for Brasilia-based Caixa Economica who didn’t want to be named because of company policy, said today in an e-mail. KfW may also provide another 4.5 million euros for “complementary measures.”
