Croatia is seeking arbitration against Mol Nyrt. at the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law in Geneva as it tries to reduce the Hungarian company’s control over INA Industrija Nafte d.d., Croatian public television reported.
The government in a letter filed today said it wants to nullify parts of a 2009 shareholding agreement that gave Mol control over its Croatian refiner and take over INA’s money-losing gas unit, the TV station said today. The government claims Mol acted unlawfully and the agreement violates Croatian constitutional law.
