Markit Final November Index of U.S. Manufacturing Rose to 54.7

The Markit Economics final November index of U.S. manufacturing increased to 54.7 from 51.8 the previous month, the London-based group said today.
The median forecast in a Bloomberg survey of economists called for no change from the preliminary November reading of 54.3. Estimates ranged from 53.8 to 54.7. Figures greater than 50 for the purchasing managers’ index correspond to expansion.
