Universal Keeps Quiet on ‘Fast & Furious’ After Star’s Death

Comcast Corp.’s Universal Pictures is keeping quiet for now on the future of its “Fast & Furious” franchise after movie star Paul Walker died in a car accident yesterday.

The Associated Press reported Walker, 40, and the driver of the car were pronounced dead on the scene of a one-car crash in the community of Valencia. Deputies found a 2005 red Porsche Carrera GT, which the two were in, engulfed in flames when they arrived, AP said. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said speedBloomberg Terminal was a factor.
