Markit U.S. Factory Index Rose to 54.3 in November From 51.8

The Markit Economics preliminary index of U.S. manufacturing rose in November to 54.3 from 51.8 last month, the London-based group said today.
A reading greater than 50 indicates expansion. The median forecast in a Bloomberg survey called for a gain to 52.3. Estimates of the 17 economists ranged from 51 to 53.1.
